You get what you pay for…

We are fast finding out that the world of inflatables is fun, fierce, and more varied than Belle’s furniture collection. People tend to look for the cheapest equipment they can find, forgetting the age old cliche – ‘you get what you pay for’! There are no laws governing the use of equipment, only guidelines which the more reliable companies sign up to by joining alliances such as BIHA (Fun Valley is a fully paid up member!) It is legal, and surprisingly common, for inflatables to be ancient or bought cheap from China, with no safety testing, hash job repairs, no insurance, poor artwork and dirty surfaces. It costs time and money to find quality, UK made inflatables and to keep them clean, fix any damage, have insurance, keep them safety tested yearly and to have friendly and helpful staff. It is therefore highly unlikely that a bouncy castle hired out at a low price is high quality, properly insured, clean and – most importantly – safe! Children’s safety and having a good party is always paramount, so don’t go for the cheapest, pay a few quid more and make sure you’re not let down!
